Announcement on Suspending the Registration of 3 Ecuadorian Production Enterprises in China

  Recently, Customs has imported frozen shrimp samples from three companies including Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila SA (Registration No. 24887), Empacreci SA (Registration No. 681), and Empacadora Del Pacifico Sociedad Anonima Edpacif SA (Registration No. 654). Six of the new coronavirus nucleic acid positives were detected, and the test results of the shrimp body and inner packaging samples were all negative. After nucleic acid sequence analysis and expert judgment, the test results indicated that the container environment and outer packaging of the products of the three companies are at risk of being contaminated by the new crown virus, and the company's food safety management system is not in place. In order to eliminate hidden risks and protect the health of the people, in accordance with the "Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" and its implementing regulations, as well as relevant customs regulations, the announcement is as follows:

  1. Suspend the registration qualifications of the above three companies in China.

  2. Suspend the import of the products of the above three companies, and suspend the acceptance of the import declarations of the products of the three companies.

  3. The importer shall immediately recall the frozen shrimp produced by the above three enterprises after March 12, and the frozen shrimp produced by the above three enterprises temporarily detained by the customs shall be returned, destroyed, etc., and sent to The customs at the place of import shall provide the import and sales records of the goods. If it refuses to implement it, the customs shall deal with it in accordance with the "Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" and its implementing regulations, as well as relevant customs regulations.
